Description
This 10-Minute Strawberry Salsa is a fresh, vibrant twist on traditional salsa, combining sweet strawberries with zesty lime, jalapeño, and herbs. It’s perfect for dipping, topping grilled meats, or spooning over tacos for a summery burst of flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced strawberries, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
- Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and stir gently to combine.
- Add honey or maple syrup if desired for a hint of sweetness, then season with salt to taste.
- Let sit for 5–10 minutes to allow flavors to meld, or serve immediately for a brighter flavor.
- Serve with tortilla chips, grilled chicken, fish, or as a topping for tacos.
Notes
- Use ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor balance.
- Adjust the heat level by using more or less jalapeño or substituting with a milder pepper.
- This salsa is best enjoyed the same day it’s made but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
