Description

These 2 Ingredient Biscuits are unbelievably easy, fluffy, and buttery with minimal effort. All you need is self-rising flour and heavy cream to whip up warm, tender biscuits that are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a dinner side.

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 to cups heavy whipping cream (start with 1 cup and add more if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and heavy cream. Stir until a soft dough forms. If it’s too dry, add a bit more cream.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it just a few times until it comes together.
  4. Pat the dough out to about ¾-inch thickness, then cut into biscuits using a round cutter or glass.
  5. Place biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, close together for soft sides or spaced apart for crispier edges.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden on top.
  7. Serve warm with butter, jam, or honey if desired.

Notes

  • If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own by combining 2 cups all-purpose flour with 1 tablespoon baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt.
  • Do not over-knead the dough—minimal handling keeps the biscuits tender.
  • These freeze well after baking. Reheat in the oven or toaster oven.
