Description
These 2 Ingredient Biscuits are unbelievably easy, fluffy, and buttery with minimal effort. All you need is self-rising flour and heavy cream to whip up warm, tender biscuits that are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a dinner side.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 to 1¼ cups heavy whipping cream (start with 1 cup and add more if needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and heavy cream. Stir until a soft dough forms. If it’s too dry, add a bit more cream.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it just a few times until it comes together.
- Pat the dough out to about ¾-inch thickness, then cut into biscuits using a round cutter or glass.
- Place biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, close together for soft sides or spaced apart for crispier edges.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden on top.
- Serve warm with butter, jam, or honey if desired.
Notes
- If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own by combining 2 cups all-purpose flour with 1 tablespoon baking powder and ½ teaspoon salt.
- Do not over-knead the dough—minimal handling keeps the biscuits tender.
- These freeze well after baking. Reheat in the oven or toaster oven.
