Description

Ingredients

  • Pie Dough: 2 pre-made rounds or homemade equivalent
  • Apples: 3 medium, peeled and diced
  • Brown Sugar: 1/4 cup
  • Granulated Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Ground Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon
  • Egg: 1, beaten
  • Coarse Sugar: For sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix diced apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Roll out the pie dough on a floured surface and cut into 4- to 5-inch circles.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto each circle. Fold over and press edges with a fork to seal. Cut slits on top.
