Description

Tender, slow-cooked baby back ribs coated in a rich, sticky barbecue glaze with a perfect balance of smoky, sweet, and savory flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 rack baby back ribs (about 1.5 to 2 pounds)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly brush it with olive oil.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, coating them evenly, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2.5 hours until tender. Remove the foil, brush generously with barbecue sauce, and return to the oven uncovered for 20 minutes.
  6. Brush another layer of sauce and let it caramelize slightly.
  7. Slice between the bones and serve warm.

Notes

  • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  • Let the seasoning sit for a few minutes before cooking to enhance flavor.
  • Apply sauce in layers for a richer taste.
  • Use a broiler briefly for extra caramelization if desired.
