Description

Baked Apple Pie Rice Paper Rolls are a creative and healthier twist on traditional apple pie. These crispy rolls are filled with spiced apples and cinnamon, baked to golden perfection for a delightful dessert or snack.


Ingredients

  • 8 rice paper wrappers
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • Cooking spray or a little oil for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and nuts if using.
  3. Dip one rice paper wrapper in warm water for about 10 seconds until pliable. Place on a clean surface.
  4. Place 2-3 tablespoons of the apple mixture near the bottom edge of the wrapper.
  5. Fold in the sides and roll tightly towards the top to seal, like a spring roll.
  6. Brush each roll lightly with melted butter or spray with cooking oil.
  7. Place rolls on the baking sheet and bake for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove and cool slightly before serving. Optionally dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for an indulgent treat.
