Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl, then whisk in melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips evenly.
  6. Scoop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set and centers are soft.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • Do not overbake to keep the cookies soft.
