Description

A quick and flavorful beef and pepper rice bowl featuring tender marinated beef, crisp bell peppers, and a savory sauce over fluffy white rice. Perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef
  • 1 large red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil.
  3. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook until browned on both sides.
  5. Add bell peppers and stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. Sprinkle in chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Toss well to combine.
  7. Serve over bowls of hot white rice and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use flank or sirloin beef for the best texture.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan. Cook in batches if needed.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Leftovers make great wraps or lunch bowls.
