Description

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add butter, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the beef. Sauté until onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir well, cooking for 1-2 minutes to eliminate the raw flour taste.
  5. Gradually pour in beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Simmer the gravy for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  7. Add the cooked potatoes to the skillet and gently stir to coat them with the beef gravy.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

  • Add a splash of heavy cream for an extra rich gravy.
