- 800 grams beef chuck, cut into cubes
- 3 medium carrots, sliced
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your equipment by placing a large pot over medium heat.
- Combine the beef cubes with flour, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Prepare your cooking vessel by adding olive oil to the pot and heating it.
- Assemble the dish by browning the beef on all sides, then remove and set aside. In the same pot, cook onions and garlic until fragrant, then stir in tomato paste.
- Cook to perfection by returning the beef to the pot, adding carrots, potatoes, beef broth, bay leaves, and thyme. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Finishing touches include stirring occasionally and adjusting seasoning if needed.
