Description

  • 800 grams beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 3 medium carrots, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your equipment by placing a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Combine the beef cubes with flour, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Prepare your cooking vessel by adding olive oil to the pot and heating it.
  4. Assemble the dish by browning the beef on all sides, then remove and set aside. In the same pot, cook onions and garlic until fragrant, then stir in tomato paste.
  5. Cook to perfection by returning the beef to the pot, adding carrots, potatoes, beef broth, bay leaves, and thyme. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  6. Finishing touches include stirring occasionally and adjusting seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve and enjoy warm in bowls.
