- 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the bananas, prep the blueberries, and whisk the egg yolk with milk to create the egg wash.
- Lightly flour your work surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets, and cut each into 4 equal squares.
- Spread a teaspoon of Nutella in the center of each square, add 2 banana slices and a few blueberries, then fold and seal the pastry with a fork.
- Place the filled puffs on the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Let cool for 5 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overfill the pastries to avoid leakage.
- Make sure the fruit is dry to prevent soggy pastry.
- An extra pinch of cinnamon can enhance the flavor.
