Description
Blueberry Pie Bombs are a quick and easy dessert made with biscuit dough, blueberry pie filling, and a touch of sugar. They’re golden, crispy on the outside, and bursting with sweet blueberry flavor inside.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 cup blueberry pie filling
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the biscuit dough into individual rounds. Flatten each round slightly with your hands or a rolling pin.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of blueberry pie filling into the center of each biscuit.
- Carefully fold the dough around the filling, pinching the edges to seal completely and form a ball.
- Place the sealed side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each pie bomb with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture over the tops of the pie bombs.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
- Make sure the biscuit edges are sealed well to prevent leakage during baking.
- You can substitute blueberry filling with other fruit pie fillings like cherry or apple.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
