Description

This quick and easy flatbread recipe takes only 10 minutes from start to finish. Perfect for serving with dips, soups, or as a base for wraps and sandwiches. No yeast, no oven, and no rising time needed!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus more for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each piece into a thin circle.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush with olive oil.
  6. Cook each flatbread for about 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and puffed in spots.
  7. Transfer to a plate and cover with a clean towel to keep warm. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix minced garlic or herbs into the dough.
  • You can substitute yogurt with sour cream or plant-based yogurt for a dairy-free version.
  • Perfect as a side for curries, soups, or as a wrap for sandwiches.
