Description

These breaded chicken skewers are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside—perfectly seasoned and oven-baked or air-fried for a healthier twist on a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Wooden or metal skewers (if wooden, soak in water for 30 minutes)
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs with milk.
  3. In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip chicken pieces into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Thread coated chicken pieces onto skewers.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or air fry for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers to prevent burning.
  • Use chicken thighs for even juicier skewers.
  • Serve with honey mustard, garlic aioli, or marinara sauce.
