Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (12) dinner rolls or slider buns
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 6 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a nonstick skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until soft scrambled.
- Slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13 casserole dish.
- Layer the cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheddar cheese on the bottom halves.
- Add the tops of the rolls back on and brush with melted butter.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the tops are toasted and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven, cut into individual sliders, and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier twist, use pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar.
- Make these in advance and refrigerate; just reheat in the oven or microwave.
- Add diced peppers or onions to the eggs for additional flavor.
