Description

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the buttermilk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Lightly grease your skillet with butter or non-stick spray.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if using.
  7. Cook for 2–3 minutes until bubbles form on top, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  8. Stack the pancakes, add your favorite toppings, and serve warm.
