Description

Sizzling Cajun Shrimp Skillet packed with bold spices, garlic butter, and fresh herbs. Perfect for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 handful fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, paprika, cayenne, onion powder, thyme, oregano, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Add a splash of oil to the skillet and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through.
  5. Turn off heat and stir in butter until melted and the sauce is glossy.
  6. Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  7. Serve immediately with crusty bread.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp—they cook quickly and can become rubbery.
  • Use fresh parsley and lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • Cast iron skillets are ideal for even heat and a perfect sear.
