Description

A warm and savory pull-apart bread loaded with cheddar, herbs, and garlic — perfect as a side, a party snack, or a rich treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf sourdough or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Using a serrated knife, cut the loaf in a crisscross pattern without cutting all the way through.
  3. Mix melted butter with garlic, herbs, and black pepper.
  4. Drizzle mixture into cuts and in between bread cubes.
  5. Stuff shredded cheddar and chopped green onions into the cuts.
  6. Wrap in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt and the bread to become crispy.

Notes

  • Pair with chili or soup for a hearty meal.
  • Add crispy bacon or diced jalapeños for a twist.
  • Serve immediately while warm and melty.
