- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Transfer dough to an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size.
- Divide dough into portions, flatten each piece, add mozzarella, then fold and shape into knots.
- Place knots on baking sheet and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix melted butter with minced garlic, brush over warm knots, then sprinkle parmesan and parsley.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Do not overfill with cheese to prevent leaking.
- Let the dough rise fully for a soft texture.
- Brush garlic butter while knots are warm for best flavor.
