Description

A hearty and cheesy casserole combining tender cheese tortellini, zesty marinara, gooey mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni — all the flavors of pizza in a comforting pasta bake.


Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cooked tortellini with marinara sauce, half the mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  4. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and arrange pepperoni slices on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.
