Description

A refreshing iced tea infused with the rich flavor of cherries and a hint of vanilla, reminiscent of a slice of cherry pie in a glass — perfect for summer sipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup cherry juice (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cherries (pitted)
  • 12 tbsp honey or sugar (optional, to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice, for serving
  • Fresh mint and lemon slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep black tea bags for 5–7 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags and stir in cherry juice, cherries, sweetener (if using), and vanilla extract.
  3. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use tart cherry juice for a tangier flavor or sweet cherry juice for a dessert-like taste.
  • Blend the tea with cherries before chilling for a stronger cherry flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness to your preference or omit sweetener for a lighter drink.
