Description
A refreshing iced tea infused with the rich flavor of cherries and a hint of vanilla, reminiscent of a slice of cherry pie in a glass — perfect for summer sipping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 black tea bags
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup cherry juice (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cherries (pitted)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or sugar (optional, to taste)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Ice, for serving
- Fresh mint and lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep black tea bags for 5–7 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and stir in cherry juice, cherries, sweetener (if using), and vanilla extract.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint and lemon slices if desired.
Notes
- Use tart cherry juice for a tangier flavor or sweet cherry juice for a dessert-like taste.
- Blend the tea with cherries before chilling for a stronger cherry flavor.
- Adjust sweetness to your preference or omit sweetener for a lighter drink.
