- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 cup plain full fat yogurt
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly coat with olive oil.
- In a large bowl, gently combine ground chicken, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Shape the mixture into small log-shaped kofta.
- Add kofta to the hot pan and cook, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix yogurt with lemon juice and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Serve the warm kofta with the garlic yogurt sauce on the side or drizzled over the top.
Notes
- Do not overmix the chicken to keep the kofta tender.
- Let cooked kofta rest a few minutes before serving.
