- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 ½ cups broccoli florets
- ½ cup shredded carrots
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook rice if not already prepared.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, water, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Add a drizzle of oil to the skillet. Cook chicken pieces until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce into the skillet with the chicken. Stir and simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
- Steam broccoli and carrots until tender-crisp.
- Assemble bowls by adding rice, glazed chicken, steamed vegetables, sesame seeds, and green onions.
- Serve warm and enjoy with extra sauce if desired.
