- 24 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), divided
- 2 (3.9 oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 1/2 cups cold milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate shavings or chips, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form a crust. Chill for 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Spread evenly over the chilled crust.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining whipped topping and smooth out evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to set.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or chips before serving, if desired.

- Chill each layer briefly before adding the next for clean layers.
- Use a food processor to crush the cookies finely for the crust.
