Description

Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Lightly grease a standard loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the wet mixture, then fold gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top lightly.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a cooling rack.
- Slice and serve slightly warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best sweetness and flavor.
- Avoid overmixing the batter so the loaf stays tender.
- Let the bread cool completely before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- You can add walnuts, chocolate chips, or a pinch of cinnamon for variation.
