Description

Golden, crispy churro snacks dusted in cinnamon sugar with a tender, fluffy inside. A sweet treat perfect for parties, cozy nights, or dipping into rich chocolate sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (1 stick)
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan, bring water, butter, 2 tablespoons sugar, and salt to a boil. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl and let it cool slightly. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Fill a piping bag fitted with a star tip with the dough. Pipe 3–4 inch strips directly into the hot oil, cutting with scissors.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Fry until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  6. Finishing Touches: In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll warm churros in the mixture until coated.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately with chocolate sauce or caramel dip if desired.

Notes

  • Keep oil temperature steady at 375°F for best results.
  • Pipe the dough using a star tip for authentic ridges.
  • Roll churros in cinnamon sugar while still warm.
