Description

A refreshing layered drink that combines bold freshly brewed coffee with bright orange juice, lightly sweetened and poured over ice for a vibrant and energizing twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240 ml) freshly brewed black coffee, cooled slightly
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh orange juice
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons (4 to 8 g) granulated sugar, optional
  • 1 cup ice cubes (8 to 10 cubes)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup of black coffee and allow it to cool slightly.
  2. If using sugar, stir 1 to 2 teaspoons into the warm coffee until fully dissolved.
  3. Fill a tall glass with 1 cup of ice cubes.
  4. Pour 1 cup of fresh orange juice over the ice.
  5. Slowly pour the coffee over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect.
  6. Adjust sweetness if needed and gently stir if you prefer a blended flavor.
  7. Serve immediately while cold and refreshing.

Notes

  • Use freshly squeezed orange juice for the best flavor balance.
  • Let the coffee cool slightly before pouring to prevent rapid ice melting.
  • For a stronger taste, use espresso diluted with a little water.
  • You can freeze leftover coffee into cubes to prevent dilution.
