Description
The Country Club Salad is a refreshing, creamy fruit and nut salad that combines crushed pineapple, apples, grapes, and crunchy pecans in a light whipped topping—perfect for picnics, potlucks, or a nostalgic side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
- 1 apple, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise or whipped topping
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed pineapple, grapes, apple, pecans, and marshmallows.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise (or whipped topping), sour cream, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the fruit mixture and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and allow flavors to meld.
- Stir before serving. Garnish with extra pecans or a few grapes if desired.
Notes
- Use whipped topping instead of mayo for a sweeter, fluffier version.
- For a crunchier texture, add chopped celery.
- Best served chilled—great make-ahead option for gatherings.
- Swap pecans for walnuts or almonds if preferred.
