Description
Creamy garlic pasta tossed with tender crab meat and juicy chicken in a rich, flavorful sauce. A comforting and slightly fancy dinner that comes together in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounces dry spaghetti
- 1 ½ cups cooked chicken, chopped
- 1 cup lump crab meat
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti until al dente, then drain, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add cooked chicken and crab meat. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until heated through.
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese and some of the reserved pasta water to create a creamy sauce.
- Add the drained spaghetti and toss everything together until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Finish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with extra parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Use fresh grated parmesan for the best texture and flavor.
- If sauce gets too thick, add more pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
- Crab should be added gently to avoid breaking it apart too much.
- Reheat leftovers gently with a splash of cream or milk.
