Description
Crab Egg Rolls are crispy, golden-fried rolls stuffed with a savory mixture of crab meat, vegetables, and seasonings—perfect as an appetizer or snack with a tangy dipping sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 1 cup cooked crab meat, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for sautéing)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1 minute.
- Add cabbage, carrots, and green onions; cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in crab meat, soy sauce, and sesame oil; cook for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of the crab mixture near one corner.
- Fold the corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a lighter option, bake egg rolls at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway.
- Add bean sprouts or water chestnuts for extra crunch.
- Serve with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce-based dip.
- Make filling ahead and refrigerate before wrapping.
