Description

Crab Egg Rolls are crispy, golden-fried rolls stuffed with a savory mixture of crab meat, vegetables, and seasonings—perfect as an appetizer or snack with a tangy dipping sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for sautéing)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add cabbage, carrots, and green onions; cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in crab meat, soy sauce, and sesame oil; cook for 2 more minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of the crab mixture near one corner.
  5. Fold the corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a dab of water.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, bake egg rolls at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway.
  • Add bean sprouts or water chestnuts for extra crunch.
  • Serve with sweet chili sauce or soy sauce-based dip.
  • Make filling ahead and refrigerate before wrapping.
