- 1 package (12 rolls) Hawaiian sweet dinner rolls
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounces imitation crab meat, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons green onions, thinly sliced, plus 1 tablespoon for garnish
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, chopped imitation crab, 3 tablespoons green onions, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and sugar until smooth and evenly combined.
- Place the dinner rolls in the prepared baking dish. Using a small serrated knife, cut a deep pocket into the top center of each roll without slicing all the way through.
- Spoon the filling evenly into each roll, gently pressing it into the pockets.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and the filling is warmed through.
- Let the rolls rest for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon green onions and serve warm.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for the smoothest filling.
- Do not overstuff the rolls, or the filling may bubble over while baking.
- Serve with sweet chili sauce or soy dipping sauce for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
