Description

Flaky, golden puff pastry filled with creamy brie and tangy cranberry sauce, these tarts are a crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for holidays or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry Sheets: 1 sheet, thawed
  • Brie Cheese: 6 ounces, rind removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Cranberry Sauce: ½ cup, homemade or store-bought
  • Chopped Pecans: ¼ cup, optional
  • Fresh Thyme: 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
  • Egg: 1 large, beaten (optional for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. Cut the brie into small cubes and set aside. Stir cranberry sauce if chunky.
  3. Unfold the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 2.5-inch squares. Gently press into muffin tin cavities.
  4. Place a cube of brie in each pastry cup. Top with ½ tsp cranberry sauce, a sprinkle of pecans, and thyme.
  5. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Let cool slightly, drizzle with honey if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use cold puff pastry for best results.
  • Don’t overfill to avoid spills.
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary can be substituted for thyme.
  • Brie rind can be kept or removed based on preference.
