- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb crawfish tails, peeled
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add crawfish tails to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Mix in the cooked fettuccine pasta and toss to coat. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and lemon juice as needed.
- Serve the crawfish fettuccine in bowls, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add extra Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes to taste.
- This dish can be made with shrimp instead of crawfish if preferred.
- Serve with crusty bread or a simple salad for a complete meal.
