Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, butter, and egg, then knead until a soft dough forms.
  3. Heat a pan over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add chicken, curry powder, coconut milk, salt, and pepper. Cook until thick and creamy, then let it cool.
  5. Divide the dough, flatten each piece, add filling, and seal into buns.
  6. Place buns on the tray, let them rise again for 20 minutes.
  7. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden.
  8. Brush with butter after baking and let cool slightly before serving.
