Description
Creamy Chipotle Burrito Sauce is a smoky, tangy, and slightly spicy condiment made with chipotle peppers in adobo, mayo, and sour cream. Perfect for drizzling on burritos, tacos, bowls, or as a dipping sauce.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (adjust to spice preference)
- 1 tbsp adobo sauce (from the chipotle can)
- 1 tsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Place mayonnaise, sour cream, chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika in a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust salt and spice level as needed.
- Transfer to a jar or squeeze bottle and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Use as a sauce for burritos, tacos, bowls, sandwiches, or as a dipping sauce.
Notes
- For a thinner sauce, add 1–2 tablespoons of milk or water until desired consistency is reached.
- Store in the fridge for up to 1 week in an airtight container.
- For a dairy-free version, use vegan mayo and skip the sour cream or use a plant-based alternative.
