A refreshing, creamy cucumber dill salad with crisp cucumbers, tangy sour cream dressing, and fresh dill. Perfect as a side dish for summer barbecues, picnics, or light lunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Chill your serving bowl in the fridge for extra refreshment.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, vinegar, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place sliced cucumbers and red onion in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and onions.
  5. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle fresh dill over the top and stir lightly.
  7. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Salt cucumbers beforehand to prevent watery dressing.
  • Use fresh dill instead of dried for the best flavor.
  • Taste the dressing before tossing and adjust seasoning if needed.
