Description

This rich and hearty dish combines creamy Velveeta cheese with tender bowtie pasta and a robust Italian-style beef marinara sauce. A comforting fusion of cheesy and meaty flavors perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 8–10 minutes to let the flavors blend.
  5. Reduce heat to low and add the cubed Velveeta cheese. Stir until completely melted and creamy. Add milk if desired for a thinner sauce.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or basil if desired.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Stir in steamed broccoli or spinach for added veggies.
  • This dish reheats well — store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
