Description
Crispy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside pork ribs made fast in the air fryer with a sweet, smoky rub and a glossy barbecue glaze.

- 2 pounds pork ribs, membrane removed and cut into 3 to 4 bone sections
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (use gluten free if needed)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Stir together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss ribs with olive oil, then coat evenly in the spice mix.
- Lightly oil the air fryer basket or line with a perforated liner.
- Arrange ribs in a single layer with space between pieces.
- Air fry for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Brush ribs with barbecue sauce and cook 5 to 10 minutes more until caramelized and crispy.
- Rest 5 minutes, then serve hot with extra sauce.
Notes
- Remove the silver skin on the back of the ribs for tenderness.
- Do not overcrowd the basket, cook in batches if needed for best crispiness.
- Brush sauce during the last few minutes to prevent burning.
- For gluten free, use a certified gluten free barbecue sauce.
- For extra crisp edges, add 3 minutes after glazing.
