Description

Crispy honey garlic tofu is a flavor-packed dish featuring golden tofu cubes glazed in a sweet, savory sauce with hints of garlic and sesame. Quick, easy, and seriously addictive, it’s perfect for weeknights or impressing your dinner guests.


Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes, then cut into cubes.
  2. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat and fry the tofu in a single layer, flipping to crisp all sides.
  4. In a separate saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the crispy tofu to the sauce and toss gently to coat.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Pressing the tofu is key to getting a crispy texture.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying the tofu.
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce to taste for a sweeter or saltier glaze.
