Description

Crispy Tofu and Veggie Patties are a delicious plant-based option packed with protein and vibrant vegetables. These golden patties are perfect for a healthy snack, appetizer, or main dish served with your favorite dipping sauce.


Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu, pressed and crumbled
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (use gluten-free if needed)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine crumbled tofu, grated carrot, bell pepper, green onions, cilantro, and garlic.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, soy sauce, sesame oil, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. If the mixture is too wet, add more breadcrumbs.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties for 4–5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or in a sandwich.

Notes

  • Press tofu well to remove excess moisture for better texture.
  • These patties can be baked at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Add chili flakes or hot sauce to the mixture for a spicy kick.
