- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (0.7 oz) packet Italian dressing mix
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 lb angel hair pasta, cooked
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a crockpot.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, chicken broth, and Italian dressing mix. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours, or on high for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
- Serve over cooked angel hair pasta and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a shortcut and reduce cook time.
- Pairs well with steamed vegetables or a side salad.
- You can substitute cream of mushroom soup for added depth of flavor.
