Description

Tender slices of beef simmer slowly in a rich garlic-ginger sauce, finished with crisp broccoli for a comforting and flavorful Crockpot Beef and Broccoli dinner that tastes better than takeout.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds beef flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  2. Place sliced beef in the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over it, stirring to coat.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours until beef is tender.
  4. In the last 30 minutes, stir in broccoli and cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  5. Serve over hot rice and garnish with sliced green onions.

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
