- 1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 1/2 cup honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Turn the slow cooker to low heat so it is ready for the ingredients.
- In a mixing bowl whisk together honey, soy sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, cornstarch, minced garlic, and sesame oil until smooth.
- Lightly coat the inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray or a thin layer of oil.
- Place the chicken thighs into the slow cooker and pour the honey garlic sauce mixture over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours until the chicken becomes tender and fully cooked.
- Cook the egg noodles in a separate pot according to package directions.
- Lightly shred the chicken in the slow cooker using forks.
- Add the cooked noodles into the sauce and gently toss until everything is coated.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top before serving.
Notes
- Add the noodles only at the end to prevent them from becoming too soft.
- Taste the sauce before serving and adjust with a splash of soy sauce if needed.
- A pinch of red pepper flakes can add a little heat if desired.
- Leftovers store well and often taste even better the next day.
