Description

Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie is a hearty, savory dish packed with layers of seasoned ground beef, Italian sausage, spicy pepperoni, gooey cheese, and rich tomato sauce all encased in a golden, flaky pie crust. It’s the ultimate comfort food perfect for dinner or potlucks.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 unbaked deep-dish pie crust (9-inch)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, sausage, onion, and bell pepper until browned and vegetables are soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Place the pie crust in a deep 9-inch pie dish. Spoon the meat mixture into the crust and top with pepperoni slices.
  6. Pour the egg and cheese mixture evenly over the meat and pepperoni layers.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the top is golden and set. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use a store-bought or homemade crust—just make sure it’s deep enough to hold all the filling.
  • Add mushrooms or olives for extra flavor.
  • Let the pie rest before cutting to avoid a runny center.
