Description

Garlic Butter Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender shrimp sautéed in a rich, buttery garlic sauce with a splash of lemon and fresh parsley. Perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

  1. Place your skillet over medium heat and let it warm up.
  2. Add olive oil and butter to the pan. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Ensure your skillet has enough space for the shrimp to cook in a single layer.
  4. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly curled.
  5. Squeeze in the lemon juice and stir everything to coat in the sauce. Let simmer for another 30 seconds.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure shrimp are completely dry before cooking to get a better sear.
  • Use fresh garlic and lemon for the best flavor.
  • Add a pinch of chili flakes if you like a little heat.
