Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
- Place your skillet over medium heat and let it warm up.
- Add olive oil and butter to the pan. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden, about 1–2 minutes.
- Ensure your skillet has enough space for the shrimp to cook in a single layer.
- Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly curled.
- Squeeze in the lemon juice and stir everything to coat in the sauce. Let simmer for another 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure shrimp are completely dry before cooking to get a better sear.
- Use fresh garlic and lemon for the best flavor.
- Add a pinch of chili flakes if you like a little heat.
