Description

Juicy, tender steak bites sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, served alongside creamy Alfredo tortellini — the perfect comforting and indulgent meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (9 oz) package refrigerated tortellini (cheese or meat-filled)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear until browned on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter and sauté the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the cooked steak back to the pan, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs (if using), and stir to coat the steak in the garlic butter sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the tortellini according to package instructions, then drain, reserving some pasta water.
  4. In a separate saucepan, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  5. Toss the cooked tortellini in the Alfredo sauce, then serve with the garlic butter steak bites on top. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • You can use any steak cut, but tender cuts like sirloin or ribeye work best for this recipe.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
  • This dish pairs well with a side of roasted vegetables or a simple salad.
