- 4 cups cubed bread (day-old French or Italian)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cubed bread and toss until evenly coated.
- Spread bread cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use slightly stale bread for best texture.
- Add parmesan cheese before baking for a cheesy twist.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
