Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and cotton candy flavoring. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Divide dough and tint each portion with desired neon food coloring.
- Roll dough into small balls and slightly flatten on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are just starting to brown. Cool completely.
- For the glow-in-the-dark icing, mix powdered sugar with tonic water until desired consistency, then tint with neon food coloring.
- Decorate cooled cookies with icing. For best glow effect, view under black light.
