Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) potato gnocchi
- 8 oz (225g) chorizo sausage, sliced or crumbled
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons harissa paste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the surface. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chorizo and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in harissa paste and cook for 1 minute to release its aroma.
- Pour in heavy cream, stir well, and simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked gnocchi to the skillet and toss gently to coat with the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of harissa paste according to your preferred spice level.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or a plant-based cream.
- Fresh gnocchi can be used instead of store-bought for a softer texture.
