Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ball pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
- 8–10 slices soppressata
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- For the Calabrian Chile Hot Honey:
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon Calabrian chile paste
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness. Transfer to a piece of parchment paper.
- Brush dough lightly with olive oil. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
- Top with shredded mozzarella, crumbled goat cheese, and soppressata slices.
- Transfer pizza (with parchment) onto the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- While pizza bakes, mix honey, Calabrian chile paste, and vinegar in a small bowl. Warm slightly if desired.
- Remove pizza from oven, drizzle with hot honey, and sprinkle with fresh basil.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use spicy Calabrian chile paste to control the heat level of the honey.
- Drizzle hot honey just before serving to keep the crust crispy.
- Add a few arugula leaves after baking for a peppery finish.
