Description

A bold and creamy fusion of Korean spice and Italian comfort, Gochujang Pappardelle delivers silky pasta ribbons coated in a luscious gochujang cream sauce that’s savory, spicy, and incredibly satisfying.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Pappardelle Pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang Paste
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Reserved Pasta Water

Instructions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. In a deep sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds. Stir in gochujang and cook for 1 minute. Add soy sauce, then slowly stir in the heavy cream.
  3. Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer. Meanwhile, cook the pasta until al dente.
  4. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and add it to the sauce.
  5. Toss the pasta in the sauce over low heat, adding pasta water as needed to achieve a silky consistency.
  6. Turn off the heat. Stir in sesame oil and lime juice. Sprinkle with Parmesan if using and garnish with scallions.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
  • Adjust gochujang amount based on your spice preference.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra vegetables.
  • Use coconut cream to make it dairy-free.
